This is my eleventh year in the North Kansas City School District. My husband, Hugh, have been married for 19 years. Hugh has been a fireman for 29 years and is a chief for the Kansas City Missouri Fire Department. We have two kids, Dax and Aidan. Aidan is a seventh grader and is very active in dancing and trampoline and tumbling. Dax is a fourth grader and is in a self contained autism class. Dax enjoys listening to music, reading, and spending time at the gym bouncing on a trampoline. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family (the kids keep us super busy) and reading.
I am very active at Northgate, serving on the Building Leadership Team and sponsoring National Junior Honor Society and Student Council. This year I will teach both Social Studies and ELA.

This is my third year teaching in the district! Prior teaching, I substituted for this district and am an alumni of Winnetonka High School! I went to Missouri State University where I earned my degree in Elementary Education. I am currently earning my Masters in Literacy through MSU as well! GO BEARS! Lover of traveling, ranch dressing, family, friends, and laughter.
I am very active within our district. I have coached volleyball for the past 5 years at Winnetonka. I coach basketball at Northgate during the winter. I am a member of the Alumni Association for Winnetonka. I am very passionate about this district and can't wait to meet you!
