ELA and Social Studies Classes
This year Miss Jewett and Mrs. Oldham will be team teaching both Social Studies and ELA on a block schedule. Even though your child will be enrolled in one teacher's class, they will spend time with both of us at some point. This will allow for the opportunity for interdisciplinary activities and an increase in both reading and writing time. Rest assured that students will cover the both the Social Studies curriculum and the ELA curriculum.Below you will find a link to the middle school curriculum guide. Please feel free to email with any questions.
Students will need the following supplies for ELA and Social Studies classes daily:
- Composition notebook (will likely need 2 for the year)
- Spirals (will likely need 4 for the year)
- 2 Folders with brads (plastic please)
- Pen/Pencils
- Markers/Colored Pencils/Highlighters
- Glue Sticks
- Reading book (can find one in our classroom libraries, school library, or can bring for home)
- Bell Ringer Book (we will provide this for students; cost is $12 if lost)
The following supplies should be brought to class as needed or kept in his or her locker or binder:
- Ear buds
- Flash drive
*Please keep in mind we are not responsible for any lost or damaged electronic equipment (including ear buds).
